The basic job of a Marine engineer is to design, build, and maintain vehicles/structures used on or around water. This includes ships, aircraft carriers, submarines, sailboats, tankers, etc. Marine engineers are accountable for the ship's internal system which comprises the propulsion, electrical, refrigeration, and steering systems.
